Coolidge Corner Theatre

Originally a church in 1906, Coolidge Corner Theatre transformed into an Art Deco movie palace in 1933. Located in the heart of Brookline, Massachusetts, it served as the community's first movie theater and has operated as a non-profit foundation since 1989. Its expansion over the years led to the current setup of six screens, ranging from 43 to 432 seats with 35mm and 70mm projection capabilities.

In addition to programming a diverse array of first-run films, the Coolidge is known for a wide variety of repertory programming while fostering film education through classes, seminars, and other initiatives. During the summer months and in October, the Coolidge also programs outdoor screenings in various locations around Boston. Additionally, the Coolidge is home to Open Screen, a monthly open mic night for filmmakers, and it is one of the main locations for the Independent Film Festival Boston.
